This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee deliverables and ensure adherence to company policies, GAAP, CAS, and FAR regulations.
• Create, maintain, develop, and analyze monthly financial statements and supplementary reports for senior management.
• Process and reconcile accounts receivable, billing, payroll, accounts payable, contract revenue calculations, fixed assets, and the general ledger.
• Generate financial statements and support compliance efforts, specifically regarding ASC 606 revenue accounting.
• Leverage and enhance the Deltek Costpoint accounting system, including planning and business intelligence modules.
• Assist with audits and ensure DCAA compliance.
• Maintain the company’s balance sheet and oversee cash forecasting along with monthly bank reconciliations.
• Cultivate relationships with staff and auditors, responding to inquiries as needed.
• Provide assistance with indirect rate structures, budgets, forecasts, incurred cost submissions, and general ledger activities.
• Address complex organizational challenges.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and internal control processes.
• Investigate billed and unbilled receivables and revenue recognition calculations.
• Recommend enhancements to practices and procedures, collaborating across departments to implement change.
• Support federal and state tax filings, extensions, and payments.
• Undertake special projects as assigned.
• Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost savings.
• US Citizenship is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger, job costing, and GAAP compliance.
• CPA preferred; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with banking transactions.
• Proficient in Deltek Costpoint Accounting or similar government-approved accounting systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical aptitude, and a consultative approach.
• Capacity to adapt and prioritize effectively based on business requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential – must be able to convey financial analyses to a non-financial audience.
• Ability to work with a high degree of discretion.
• Exceptional organizational and program management skills.
