This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Take full ownership of the general ledger for designated group entities.
• Manage fixed asset ledgers, payroll accounting, accruals, prepayments, and foreign exchange revaluation.
• Prepare inputs for month-end and year-end closures, and review reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze variances in income statements and balance sheets.
• Prepare and post intercompany calculations and invoices.
• Compile and review VAT returns, statutory reports, financial statements, and audit documentation.
• Assist accounts payable across group entities, focusing on coding, VAT treatment, approval routing, and resolving disputed or complex items.
• Reconcile the accounts payable subledger with the general ledger and investigate any unidentified bank postings.
• Lead the finance-related implementation of a new invoice processing tool, including process design, vendor and general ledger mapping, data validation, testing, and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with Accounts Receivable, Tax, and other teams to ensure precise accounting practices.
• Minimum of five years of experience in general ledger accounting within an international, multi-entity setting.
• Demonstrated capability to independently close a set of entities and quickly adapt to existing processes with minimal handover.
• Strong understanding of VAT treatment for cross-border transactions within the EU, including reverse charge and intra-EU acquisitions.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes in a multi-country environment.
• Background in preparing statutory financial statements and assisting with external audits.
• Familiarity with an ERP system, preferably NetSuite, including multi-currency accounting.
• Experience implementing or rolling out an invoice automation or P2P tool is a significant advantage.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
