Senior Accountant – Finance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary Finance contact and oversee all operational Finance functions.

• Develop and automate Finance workflows.

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, which includes processing invoices, reviewing documents, and managing collections.

• Manage payment transactions, bank statements, and perform account reconciliations.

• Effectively handle travel expenses and reimbursements using advanced tools like Spendesk.

• Reconcile transactions from the App Store, Google Play, and PayPal with incoming payments.

• Serve as the main liaison and collaborate with the tax advisory firm.

• Act as a point of contact during tax audits and reviews by external auditors.

• Coordinate with internal teams, especially Sales, regarding deals, commissions, bonuses, and financial metrics.

• Calculate sales bonuses and prepare, review, and approve payroll, including international payroll via Deel.

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in alignment with German GAAP (HGB), along with budgeting and financial planning.

• Implement Scopevisio and manage master data.

• Continuously enhance Finance processes.

• Create integrations between tools and leverage AI to automate repetitive tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience, preferably with full responsibility across various Finance areas, including accounting, payroll, and financial closing processes.

• Required proficiency in standard accounting software such as DATEV.

• Familiarity with Scopevisio, Spendesk, or HubSpot is advantageous.

• Digitally and AI-savvy, actively utilizing AI tools to boost efficiency.

• Independent and proactive working style with a strong sense of accountability.

• Excellent command of German.

• Good command of English.
