
Senior Accountant – Emerging Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver fractional consulting services to startup and emerging growth companies while working as a member of Kranz Consulting.
• Work closely with the senior management of clients in an operational and financial capacity.
• Process incoming invoices by matching them with purchase orders, routing for approvals and payments, entering them into accounting systems, preparing weekly accounts payable reports, identifying vendors for payment, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Handle expense reimbursement requests and prepare 1099 forms.
• Manage payroll processing, including the necessary journal entries.
• Assist with bank transactions, prepare weekly cash forecasts, process cash transfer requests, reconcile cash accounts, and route checks for signatures.
• Receive incoming checks and generate weekly cash collections and aged receivables reports.
• Provide assistance with collections as necessary.
• Maintain month-end account reconciliations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Support the finance department with various activities as required.
• Aid in matters related to Sales & Use tax, Delaware Franchise tax, and unsecured property tax (571L).
• Conduct month-end activities and balance sheet reconciliations, including accrued prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting.
• At least 4 years of prior accounting experience.
• Proficient in accounting and transaction systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, Bill.com, and Expensify at a user level.
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting applications and platforms.
• Prior experience in consulting is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and responsive communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating proactivity, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
• Exceptional PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
