Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the processes for month-end and year-end closures.

• Reconcile accounts and address any discrepancies.

• Supervise daily general ledger operations across various ERPs.

• Perform financial analysis on key metrics and create reports to aid management decision-making.

• Prepare and review journal entries in line with US GAAP standards.

• Offer ad-hoc support to leadership within the Division and Segment.

• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and organizational policies.

• Coordinate and support internal and external audit requests.

• Help develop and implement process improvement initiatives.

• Enhance system efficiencies and business practices.

• Generate financial reports.

• Maintain the general ledger.

• Improve monthly closing, consolidation, and internal reporting procedures.

• Assist in managing financial operations and supporting business decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

• At least 3 years of accounting experience with an increasing level of responsibilities.

• Preferred proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle R12, NetSuite, JDE, and Epicor.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
