This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Contribute to the monthly general ledger closing process for international entities, aiming for a five-day close.
• Execute accounting for P&L and Balance Sheet related to accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, payroll, intercompany transactions, cash and bank reconciliations, as well as AP/AR subledger activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, account analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Investigate and analyze financial variances to resolve discrepancies.
• Manage end-to-end closing activities across various accounting functions.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, Treasury, FP&A, and finance leads from site/business units to address issues.
• Support the implementation of Shared Services Accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation for business processes.
• Prepare and review foreign currency accounting, including remeasurement and translation adjustments in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations between domestic and international entities.
• Assist with global consolidation activities, including elimination entries, consolidation schedules, and reporting packages for foreign entities.
• Work closely with regional finance teams on the recording of international transactions and adherence to corporate accounting policies.
• Aid in local statutory reporting, external audits, and compliance efforts for international subsidiaries.
• Research and document accounting treatments for cross-border transactions and international accounting issues.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, and FP&A teams regarding international operations, intercompany settlements, and foreign currency transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Direct ownership of at least two distinct accounting disciplines, such as general ledger, fixed assets, payroll, intercompany, or AP/AR.
• Proven experience in closing the books for multiple entities, sites, or business units.
• Experience in performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and conducting month-end close activities within a multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end closing processes.
• Familiarity with accrual accounting principles and management of period-end cut-off procedures.
