Senior Accountant – AU Tax Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete Australian tax compliance process from initiation to completion.

• Accurately prepare tax returns and fulfill related compliance obligations within specified deadlines.

• Examine financial data and supporting documents necessary for tax compliance.

• Handle email communication and professionally address client inquiries.

• Keep precise client records and ensure that all documentation is thorough and current.

• Collaborate closely with the onshore partner to address review feedback and finalize client assignments.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing accounting and compliance processes through technology and AI.

• Assume responsibility for tax compliance issues in a preparer role, with final reviews conducted by an onshore partner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience within the Australian tax system.

• Demonstrated capability to independently prepare and oversee tax compliance tasks from beginning to end.

• Senior-level accounting expertise with robust technical understanding.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines independently.

• Competence in handling client correspondence and inquiries in a professional manner.

• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple client matters simultaneously.

• Familiarity with Xero and AI-driven accounting tools is highly valued.
