Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the accounts payable process, which includes processing and categorizing vendor invoices, confirming approvals, and organizing payment runs.

• Oversee the accounts receivable process, encompassing customer invoicing, collections, cash application, and follow-up on outstanding balances.

• Generate and dispatch accurate and timely customer invoices while addressing any billing inquiries and discrepancies.

• Conduct daily and monthly bank and cash reconciliations.

• Review and manage employee expense reports and administer the corporate card program.

• Assist in ensuring a timely and precise month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation.

• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items for the Controller's review.

• Facilitate annual financial statement audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and process documentation.

• Optimize and automate accounting workflows utilizing AI and contemporary tools.

• Contribute to special projects, system enhancements, and cross-functional initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably covering AP, AR, billing, and general ledger.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting principles.

• Practical experience with cloud accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent).

• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets.

• Experience with Ramp.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies with sound judgment.

• Clear and professional communication skills.

• Collaborative mindset with a sense of ownership.

• Proven history of utilizing automation or AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first setting.

• CPA certification (or in progress) is a plus.

• Experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS company is advantageous.

• Familiarity with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and SaaS billing workflows is beneficial.
