This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Accurately and promptly complete assigned accounting tasks, ensuring all supporting documentation is in place.
• Take a vital role in the monthly closing process by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and assist in monthly and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.
• Manage and support intricate accounting areas, such as stock-based compensation, intercompany transactions, management-fee arrangements, foreign-currency dealings, deferred cloud software costs, and significant estimates.
• Lead the monthly flux analysis, investigate variances, identify business drivers, and communicate insights and recommendations to management.
• Research accounting transactions, resolve discrepancies, and escalate significant issues or risks as necessary.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing audit requests, financial statement schedules, footnotes, disclosures, and related documentation.
• Maintain internal controls while identifying control gaps, accounting risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and uphold accounting procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and departmental documentation.
• Drive process enhancements, automation, and effective use of technology and AI tools.
• Collaborate with Accounting and cross-functional teams on accounting matters, projects, and evolving business needs.
• Execute additional duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of close processes, account reconciliations, and complex accounting areas.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, audit support, SOX/internal control requirements, and foreign currency accounting concepts, including CTA and FX gains and losses.
• Experience with major accounting systems; proficiency in NetSuite is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and analysis of large datasets.
• Ability to utilize AI-enabled tools and technology to enhance workflows, analysis, and team efficiency.
• Capability to work independently, seek guidance, and appropriately escalate issues.
• Dedication to continuous improvement, process efficiency, and maintaining high-quality work.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Integrity, discretion, and attention to detail when handling confidential financial information.
• Willingness to travel approximately up to 30% of the time.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 15–20 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using standard office equipment.
• CPA certification or experience with a Big 4 or public company is preferred.
