This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the global monthly closing activities.

• Create journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and perform variance analysis.

• Standardize the closing process across various entities.

• Develop scalable intercompany accounting processes and reporting mechanisms.

• Utilize judgment regarding vendor expenditures, accruals, capitalizations, leases, and related accounting issues.

• Drive process enhancements and automation to expedite the closing process, ensuring greater accuracy and scalability.

• Maintain audit-ready close deliverables with comprehensive documentation and evidence.

• Respond promptly and thoroughly to requests from external auditors.

• Report directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager.

• Collaborate with the wider Finance team and cross-functional departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience at a public or rapidly growing tech firm.

• Practical experience managing the complete month-end closing cycle.

• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.

• Capability to independently manage account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.

• Familiarity with international, multi-entity, and multi-currency accounting.

• Proficient in modern accounting technology tools, including Excel.

• Effective and confident communication skills across Finance and the business.

• CPA certification or CPA-track status is a plus.

• Experience in Big Four public accounting is preferred.

• Familiarity with Rillet or similar ERP/close-management software is advantageous.

• Candidates must reside in the US.
