Project Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Accountable for accurate billing, revenue management, and reconciliation tasks for designated projects.

• Document project transactions in alignment with GAAP revenue recognition standards and One10’s operational workflow.

• Collaborate closely with Client Services Event Managers.

• Comprehend and implement One10's project accounting methodologies and procedures.

• Suggest project journal entries to effectively manage project funds.

• Support month-end closing processes, which include reviewing project working capital summaries, Profit & Loss/Balance Sheet statements, and Percent of Completion schedules.

• Generate ad hoc reports and analytical assessments.

• Evaluate existing processes and procedures while implementing improvements to enhance revenue accounting efficiency.

• Address account management inquiries concerning client billing.

• Aid in revenue and deferred revenue evaluations.

• Engage in cross-training activities.

• Assist in optimizing month-end closing cycle time.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of extensive experience in project accounting.

• CPA (active or inactive) is preferred.

• Proficient in MS Excel (including pivots, v/h-lookups, etc.).

• Financial knowledge in POC billing and GAAP ASC606 revenue recognition.

• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem-solving abilities.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a capacity for collaborative work.

• Experience with NetSuite is preferred, along with familiarity with project management applications/systems.

• Background in efficient processes and technology utilization; accuracy is vital.
