Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a designated portfolio of Australian clients, ensuring a seamless transition.

• Execute bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities within the client portfolio.

• Review and assess the work of junior bookkeepers, offering guidance and mentorship.

• Prepare and evaluate management accounts and Business Activity Statements (BAS).

• Assist in the delivery of bookkeeping and accounting services across the client portfolio.

• Gradually oversee additional offshore team members as the team expands.

• Enhance workflows, accuracy, and efficiency by utilizing AI tools like Claude.

• Operate autonomously, take ownership, and escalate issues when necessary.

• Collaborate directly with the Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA or CA qualified, or actively working towards qualification.

• Extensive accounting experience, preferably with Australian businesses.

• Demonstrated experience in reviewing or supervising junior bookkeepers and accounting personnel.

• Proficient in management accounts and BAS.

• Strong familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or Reckon.

• Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Self-driven and at ease working independently.

• Interest or experience in leveraging AI tools like Claude to enhance workflows.

• Must reside in the Philippines.

• Disclose any current ongoing roles or client commitments.
