Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for designated GL accounts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP standards.

• Conduct month-end and quarter-end closing activities, which includes preparing journal entries and compiling supporting documentation.

• Reconcile and manage assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Generate, upload, and adjust accounting entries within the accounting system.

• Maintain workpapers in accordance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.

• Document internal controls and complete closing checklists.

• Foster productive relationships within the accounting team and across other departments.

• Provide precise and timely responses to inquiries from internal accounting, finance, and operations teams.

• Support ad hoc projects as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.

• Experience in acquiring and analyzing data from an ERP system; Oracle experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficient in Excel, including the use of pivot tables.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

• Effective time management abilities.

• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks punctually.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud is a plus.

• Active CPA license or progress towards CPA is an additional advantage.

• Familiarity with US GAAP Standards and SOX Compliance is a notable benefit.
