This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare and submit journal entries for balance sheet and expense accounts.
• Create and uphold monthly reconciliations for the balance sheet.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and posting of monthly accruals, which include operating expenses, vendor liabilities, and recurring journal entries.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to address discrepancies, enhance workflows, and bolster internal controls.
• Track invoice accruals against actuals and provide insights into spending patterns for business partners.
• Conduct detailed monthly variance analyses.
• Cross-train and provide backup support for other accounting personnel.
• Assist the Accounting Manager in month-end closing processes and journal-entry evaluations.
• Organize accounting deliverables for planning, interim, and year-end audits.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and coordinate organizational procedures to boost efficiency and productivity.
• Support M&A accounting activities.
• Carry out ad hoc account analyses to assist the business.
• Collaborate closely with the Accounting and Finance teams and leaders throughout the organization.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced skills such as pivot tables, and familiarity with Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting and ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite.
• Knowledge of accrual accounting and Accounts Payable processes; experience with Coupa is preferred.
• Solid understanding of month-end closing and general ledger processes.
• Experience in a large company environment with high transaction volumes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a deadline-oriented setting.
• Detail-oriented and observant.
• Self-motivated and highly responsive.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong work ethic with a collaborative approach.
• Capable of making and taking ownership of critical decisions.
