This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and execute other essential accounting tasks to support the financial close and reporting processes of the team.
• Assist in researching, establishing, and upholding financial accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure adherence to US GAAP.
• Support internal controls and audit readiness, including managing compliance tasks, coordinating and fulfilling audit requests, conducting testing, and maintaining documentation.
• Design and document accounting processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for automation and enhancements as Branch continues to grow.
• Take ownership of accounting projects and address process gaps outside standard workflows, overseeing the issue from investigation to resolution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design, develop, and implement new systems, processes, and solutions across accounting, finance, treasury, data, and other teams.
• Provide financial support to senior management and departmental leaders to aid in decision-making.
• Serve as a representative for the accounting function to cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience is required; experience in high-growth payment/fintech environments is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in financial audit and/or consulting is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills with the capacity to work with large, complex datasets; experience with SQL, Python, and other relevant tools is a plus.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools, spanning accounting, reporting, and AI-enabled platforms; familiarity with Claude/Cowork is advantageous.
• Comfortable navigating a diverse range of systems and processes; experience with Sage Intacct, FloQast, Looker, and/or similar accounting and reporting platforms is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical accounting concepts and representing the team to cross-functional and external audiences.
