This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Propel profitable growth within designated customers and markets in Southern Germany.
• Forge strategic relationships with customers and comprehend their priorities.
• Present Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions to meet scientific and business requirements.
• Recognize and evaluate customer needs, expand the market, and formulate effective sales strategies.
• Develop customer presentations and commercial proposals.
• Address tenders and suggest appropriate product and workflow solutions.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and opportunity development to negotiation and closure.
• Identify market trends and new business prospects.
• Establish and sustain a robust opportunity pipeline and precise sales forecast.
• Collaborate with NanoPort demonstration facilities, product specialists, marketing teams, fellow Account Managers, service teams, and other business units.
• Uphold strong CRM practices and commercial discipline during the sales process.
• Travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory.
• Generally, a Master's degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Proven experience with XPS, electron microscopy, spectroscopy, imaging, or similar analytical instrumentation is essential.
• Prior client-facing commercial experience is necessary.
• Experience in successfully navigating a matrix organization is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in German is required.
• Proficient in English is required.
• Additional languages are a plus but not mandatory.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable with taking ownership of tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work across cultures and diverse teams.
• Effective communicator in customer meetings, presentations, and public speaking engagements.
• Clear, open, and efficient communication style.
• Ability to cultivate and sustain strong internal and external customer relationships.
• Capacity to articulate how technologies enhance materials science applications and deliver value to customers.
• Strong ability to prioritize needs and meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Commitment to ongoing development of commercial skills and enhancement of sales processes.
• Solid CRM discipline and readiness to adhere to established business processes.
• Approximately 50% travel within the assigned territory.
