This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Support and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Engage with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to drive sales efforts.
• Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive territory business plan.
• Manage relationships with hospitals while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information within the relevant disease area and approved product.
• Deliver sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other clinic personnel.
• Utilize and manage resources effectively to optimize customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Achieve and surpass sales targets within the designated territory.
• Secure formulary wins in hospitals and translate market access successes into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to ensure patient access and continuity of therapy.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, gather customer insights, and assess local market dynamics.
• Provide feedback regarding marketing strategies and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the budget for the territory.
• Complete administrative tasks and implement the company brand strategy within the assigned geographic area.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated ability to drive demand generation within hospital settings.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Expertise in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes (P&T, formulary, etc.).
• Experience in engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience working collaboratively across hospital and community care settings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills to assess data and trends for actionable business planning.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, along with strong business acumen.
