
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Facilitate and enhance formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, discharge pathway assistance, and demand generation within designated hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales.
• Create, implement, and execute a comprehensive business strategy for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while comprehending customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights related to the disease state and approved products.
• Present sales pitches to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic teams.
• Leverage and manage resources to enhance customer engagement.
• Partner with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Meet and surpass sales objectives within the designated territory.
• Attain hospital formulary victories and convert market access achievements into prescribing and usage.
• Engage stakeholders in conversations that support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Coordinate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to ensure patient access and continuity of therapy.
• Identify and mitigate obstacles affecting product adoption.
• Strategize activities and optimize customer outreach and call frequency.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Evaluate utilization patterns, customer insights, market trends, sales endeavors, and territory performance.
• Formulate territory plans alongside the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
• Implement the company's brand strategy and tactics.
• Engage in training and development initiatives while ensuring policy compliance.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• At least 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned region, including overnight stays.
• Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent history of top-tier sales achievement and successful product launches.
• Proven success in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Experience in Anti-Infective therapies is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to function effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to analyze data and trends to develop actionable business strategies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
