This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +2 more states.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, support for discharge pathways, and demand generation in targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to drive sales.
• Create, implement, and execute comprehensive business plans for the territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights regarding disease states and approved products.
• Present sales information to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and clinic personnel.
• Enhance customer engagement and work collaboratively within GSK’s matrixed sales organization.
• Meet sales objectives and maximize sales potential among high-value customers and growth opportunities.
• Achieve formulary wins in hospitals and translate access accomplishments into prescribing and utilization.
• Involve stakeholders in discussions related to patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reducing readmissions.
• Coordinate efforts with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers that impede product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Evaluate utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory plans in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget and complete necessary administrative tasks.
• Engage in training and development initiatives while ensuring compliance with corporate and industry standards.
• BA/BS degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned region, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Proven track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Demonstrated success in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Anti-infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Extensive knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Proven ability to collaborate across hospital and community care environments.
• Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze data and trends to formulate actionable business strategies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
