
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, readiness of protocols and order sets, support for discharge pathways, and driving demand across targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with infectious disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision-makers to stimulate sales.
• Create, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Cultivate relationships with hospitals and grasp customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical insights regarding disease states and approved products.
• Present sales pitches to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Leverage and manage resources to enhance customer engagement.
• Work alongside Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet sales targets and maximize opportunities within designated accounts.
• Achieve formulary successes and convert market access accomplishments into prescribing and utilization.
• Aid in patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transitions, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Partner with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy associates.
• Recognize and tackle barriers to product adoption.
• Strategize activities to meet call metrics and enhance customer coverage and frequency.
• Facilitate educational programs, in-services, speaker events, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Examine utilization trends, customer insights, market dynamics, sales activities, and territory performance.
• Develop territory strategies with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative duties and implement brand strategies within the designated geographic area.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sectors.
• 3+ years of experience working with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory, including overnight trips.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Preferred: a consistent record of high sales performance and successful product launches.
• Preferred: proven success in driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Experience in anti-infectives is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and managing intricate sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, stakeholder roles, and decision-making procedures.
• Experience in engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leaders.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
• Capacity to analyze data and trends to develop actionable business strategies.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
• Proven ability to comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Outstanding presentation and selling abilities with strong business acumen.
