
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Support and enhance formulary access, ensure protocol and order set readiness, assist with discharge pathways, and promote demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
• Engage with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to drive sales.
• Develop, implement, and execute integrated business plans for the territory.
• Manage relationships within hospitals while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information related to the disease state and approved product area.
• Deliver sales and comprehensive clinical brand presentations to healthcare professionals.
• Utilize and manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Achieve and surpass sales targets within the assigned territory.
• Secure formulary wins and translate market access achievements into prescribing and utilization.
• Engage stakeholders in discussions around patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
• Coordinate efforts with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and address barriers that affect product adoption.
• Plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage.
• Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Share best practices with sales colleagues and provide feedback on marketing strategies.
• Analyze sales activities, territory performance, utilization trends, customer insights, and market dynamics.
• Develop territory plans in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director, brand team, and support partners.
• Manage the territory budget and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
• Execute the company brand strategy and tactics within the designated geography.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• More than 3 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight stays.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent record of top-tier sales performance and proven success in product launches.
• Demonstrated success in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Anti-infective experience preferred.
• Expertise in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• In-depth knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structures, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience engaging with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in analyzing data and trends to create actionable business plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions.
• Proven ability to adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional presentation and selling skills, along with strong business acumen.
