
Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Assist in enhancing formulary access, ensuring readiness of protocols and order sets, supporting discharge pathways, and generating demand across targeted hospital accounts.
• Collaborate with Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and decision-makers within Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) to boost sales.
• Formulate, implement, and execute a cohesive business plan for the designated territory.
• Cultivate hospital relationships while understanding customer needs and priorities.
• Present scientific and clinical information regarding the disease state and approved products.
• Conduct sales presentations for physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage resources effectively to enhance customer engagement.
• Work in conjunction with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and various cross-functional stakeholders.
• Meet and surpass sales objectives within the assigned territory.
• Secure formulary wins in hospitals and convert market access achievements into prescriptions and utilization.
• Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions to support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduction of readmissions.
• Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
• Identify and resolve barriers affecting product adoption.
• Strategize and organize activities to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage.
• Execute educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
• Analyze utilization trends, customer insights, and local market dynamics.
• Provide insights on marketing strategies and develop territory plans alongside sales and brand teams.
• Oversee the territory budget.
• Complete administrative responsibilities and implement the company brand strategy within the designated geography.
• Engage in training and development initiatives.
• Adhere to corporate and industry policies and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech industry.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospitals and health systems.
• Familiarity with hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned geography, including overnight trips.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Consistent track record of top-tier sales performance and successful product launches.
• Proven success in driving demand generation within hospital settings.
• Anti-Infective experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in account selling and navigating complex sales processes.
• In-depth understanding of the Health Systems business model, organizational structures, key stakeholder roles, and decision-making processes.
• Experience interacting with specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Background in collaborating across hospital and community care environments.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Skills in analyzing data and trends to develop actionable business plans.
• Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing market conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to adhering to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
• Excellent presentation and selling abilities, combined with strong business acumen.
