This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the primary integrated pharmacy benefits subject matter expert for Cigna Pharmacy clients within a designated geographical area.
• Oversee pharmacy account leadership, foster relationships with clients and producers, and drive strategic and retention initiatives for integrated pharmacy clients.
• Build and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders, medical sales teams, and the pharmacy underwriting division.
• Manage and preserve an assigned portfolio through renewal strategies, portfolio oversight, pricing, affordability solutions, performance guarantees, and client risk evaluation.
• Assist with pharmacy-specific client strategies and intricate renewals as a strategic ally to the medical sales team.
• Lead and engage in meetings with clients, brokers, finalists, and executives.
• Advocate for and educate stakeholders on pharmacy products, services, clinical programs, and integrated healthcare solutions.
• Create and present pharmacy business plans, performance assessments, value summaries, market updates, and product presentations.
• Evaluate pharmacy claims usage, financial outcomes, rebates, guarantees, and cost-management prospects.
• Serve as the main escalation contact for pharmacy service, clinical, and member-related issues.
• Support pricing, auditing, contracts, implementation, and requests for non-standard offerings.
• Ensure the precision and integrity of pharmacy-related contracts, ASO agreements, RFP responses, reports, and communications.
• Collect, assess, and disseminate competitive intelligence for retention and new business prospects.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients, brokers, consultants, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Clearly communicate complex information, prioritize competing demands, resolve issues using data-driven insights, and adapt to the changing needs of clients and the business.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) meeting client expectations.
• Over 5 years of experience with the financial and pricing strategies of PBM.
• Strong operational understanding and competency with the PBM business model.
• Previous experience in Finance, Underwriting, Broker, or Manufacturer Relations is preferred.
• Proficient in all Microsoft programs.
• Familiarity with consultative client management approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage renewals with minimal oversight.
• Capability to navigate organizational processes necessary to support clients.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on the candidate's location, often with little to no prior notice.
• Candidate must reside in California or an adjacent state.
