Senior 3D BIM Modeler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the establishment of CAD/BIM standards, templates, quality control procedures, and workflows within Autodesk and Bentley platforms.

• Offer technical assistance and direction to fellow modelers and designers.

• Create and coordinate 3D models and engineering drawings utilizing Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and MicroStation.

• Integrate survey, LiDAR, reality capture, GIS, design, and SUE data into precise and well-coordinated deliverables.

• Evaluate drawings, models, surfaces, utility mapping, and project data to detect discrepancies, errors, and coordination challenges.

• Employ technical expertise to troubleshoot issues and guarantee high-quality deliverables for clients.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to convey technical information, modeling difficulties, quality control findings, and proposed solutions.

• Provide support to project teams from data development to final delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in CAD/BIM, civil design, surveying, utility mapping, or related infrastructure fields.

• Significant hands-on experience with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD); proficiency in both is strongly preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of 3D modeling, engineering drawings, construction documents, survey, surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and utility data.

• Exceptional quality assurance/control and attention-to-detail skills, with the capability to identify and communicate technical issues effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, and confidence in engaging directly with clients and technical teams.

• Capacity to work collaboratively across engineering, project management, CAD/BIM, GIS, and field teams.

• Experience in SUE, utility mapping, or civil engineering is advantageous.

• Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer, ProjectWise, ACC, Revit, Navisworks, or ArcGIS Pro is a plus.

• Background in LiDAR, point clouds, reality capture, GIS, or subsurface mapping is desirable.

• Experience in developing CAD/BIM standards, templates, workflows, or quality control procedures is beneficial.

• Understanding of Python, Dynamo, or Bentley SDK for automation and workflow enhancement is a plus.
