This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Supervise statutory EHC assessments for individuals between the ages of 0-25.
• Manage complex SEND caseloads while adhering to statutory deadlines.
• Act as the main point of contact for parents, carers, schools, and professionals.
• Create, revise, and maintain Education, Health, and Care Plans.
• Coordinate contributions from education, health, and social care professionals.
• Conduct Annual Reviews and implement necessary amendments to EHCPs.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for SEND Tribunals.
• Engage in case discussions, meetings, and reviews as required.
• Handle correspondence with professionalism and sensitivity.
• Maintain accurate case records and update Hampshire systems accordingly.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases as needed.
• Collaborate with Special Needs Officers and SEND Managers to ensure compliance and uphold quality standards.
• Consistently meet statutory timeframes.
• Produce high-quality, legally compliant EHCPs.
• Apply professional judgment effectively.
• Promptly escalate risks and concerns.
• Provide exceptional customer service to families and stakeholders.
• Maintain precise case records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with schools, SENCOs, health professionals, and partner agencies.
• Efficiently manage workload within a high-volume statutory service.
• Comply with Hampshire County Council policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• A minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar SEN Caseworker/EHCP Caseworker role within a Local Authority SEND Team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads exceeding 250 cases.
• Experience in coordinating 20-week EHC Needs Assessments from start to finish.
• Proficient in conducting Annual Reviews.
• Familiarity with preparing and managing SEND Tribunal packs and casework.
• In-depth understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014.
• Thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Comprehensive understanding of EHCP statutory processes.
• Extensive knowledge of SEND Tribunal procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate previous caseloads, statutory responsibilities, and SEND processes during interviews.
• Relevant qualification in SEND, Education, or a related professional field.
• DFE Form confirming a minimum of 2 years PQE.
• Enhanced DBS check.
