This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
β’ Formulate the growth strategy for the North American residential building products sector.
β’ Conduct comprehensive market, segment, customer, channel, and competitive analyses to pinpoint promising growth opportunities.
β’ Identify key customer and influencer segments, including distributors, lumberyards, dealers, roll formers, contractors, builders, architects, designers, and homeowners.
β’ Develop go-to-market strategies, value propositions, customer journeys, channel models, and activation plans for these priority segments.
β’ Create a demand and forecasting model for the residential segment.
β’ Confirm product-market fit and channel acceptance through customer research, pilot programs, partner feedback, and stage-gate evaluations.
β’ Implement scorecards to monitor adoption, distribution, leads, conversion rates, revenue, volume, margin, mix, and overall customer experience.
β’ Construct a phased three-year growth roadmap for segments and channels, outlining capability, resource, technology, partnership, and capital requirements.
β’ Cultivate influential relationships with customers, partners, industry organizations, and market influencers.
β’ Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in sales, innovation, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, digital, and customer experience.
β’ Shape product innovation from early market insights through to commercialization and scaling.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
β’ At least 7 years of experience in strategic marketing, product marketing, commercialization, market development, category management, brand management, or a similar commercial role.
β’ Proficiency in developing and executing segment, channel, marketing, or go-to-market strategies.
β’ Demonstrated success in launching new products, solutions, or brands and overseeing commercialization from planning to execution.
β’ Experience leading intricate, cross-functional initiatives with partners in sales, product development, operations, supply chain, or marketing.
β’ Strong analytical capabilities and a background in utilizing market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and business economics to inform decisions.
β’ Proven skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level communication.
β’ Experience in managing marketing budgets, prioritizing tasks, adhering to timelines, and evaluating performance metrics.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America.
β’ Background in building products, residential or commercial construction, construction materials, manufacturing, industrial products, or a related field.
β’ Familiarity with channel strategy, distributor or dealer networks, contractor-focused marketing, or multi-step market routes.
β’ Experience in category management, segment marketing, portfolio strategy, or market development.
β’ Knowledge of trends in residential construction, building systems, customer purchasing behaviors, or building code considerations.
β’ Experience working with established brands and fostering growth through positioning, channel activation, and enhancing customer experience.
β’ Experience collaborating with digital teams to promote market growth and improve the customer journey.
β’ An MBA or other advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
