This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Analyze customer expectations, compliance requirements, and threat models to establish both functional and non-functional specifications for security solutions.
• Perform market research to discover security products, platforms, and vendors within CSPM/CNAPP, DLP, IAM/IGA, EDR/XDR, data security, Kubernetes security, and AI/ML security.
• Assess vendors’ technical capabilities, security posture, integration prerequisites, product roadmap, data residency/compliance, and quality of support.
• Create threat-aligned proof of concept (PoC) test plans, success criteria, quantitative metrics, attack scenarios, and automation possibilities.
• Design and implement isolated PoC environments that replicate production infrastructure, including cloud VPCs, Kubernetes clusters, test data, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and standard workloads.
• Apply security research methodologies, simulate attack scenarios, validate features, and evaluate false positive/negative rates.
• Compile technical performance data, integration challenges, security vulnerabilities, and comparative analysis metrics.
• Present data-driven reports and recommendations for solution and vendor selection.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering, Platform/Infrastructure, and DevOps teams on integration, operations, scaling, and implementation transitions.
• At least 6 years of experience in Security Engineering, Security Architecture, or a dedicated Security Research role with a focus on solution validation and vendor management.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud security principles, including AWS/Azure/GCP security models, Kubernetes/containers, network segmentation, IaC scanning, least privilege, identity-centric security, and confidential computing.
• Proficient in scripting/programming languages such as Python or Go, aimed at automating PoCs, developing test harnesses, and integrating tools through APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in architecting, deploying, and testing two or more enterprise-grade security solutions, such as SIEM/SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management, or Secrets Management.
• Capable of planning and executing intricate technical PoCs, establishing test environments, and defining quantitative success metrics.
• Outstanding analytical abilities to convert technical insights into business risks and strategic recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
