Security Installation Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver customer assistance through the installation and ongoing support of products and solutions on-site.

• Supervise and/or execute the diagnosis, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of intricate equipment and systems.

• Evaluate and authorize the operational quality of solution components.

• Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of the solution.

• Act as the company representative for customers on both administrative and technical issues related to assigned projects.

• Analyze customer requirements, determine subsequent actions, and clarify responsibilities for resolving issues.

• Install and maintain electronic security systems.

• Comprehend system design schematics.

• Carry out installation tasks within the established timeframes.

• Finalize installation tasks for devices and components.

• Configure programmable components of the system.

• Conduct tests and evaluations to identify and rectify component- and system-level issues.

• Install raceway and conduit infrastructure.

• Install, terminate, and test system cabling.

• Test the functionality of system components.

• Install equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware for devices.

• Generate accurate as-built documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a current Secret clearance.

• Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work on a 12-foot stepladder for extended durations.

• Must be comfortable working at various heights up to 45 feet and be able to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.

• Must routinely and repetitively walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, and reach overhead.

• B.S./B.A. plus 3+ years of experience in electronic security systems or a related field, or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 7 years of relevant experience.

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP.

• Experience operating personnel lifts.

• Fundamental knowledge of electrical conduit installation.

• Experience with IP Cameras.

• Desired certifications or familiarity with annunciator systems such as Honeywell Vindicator, Linx Predator Elite, Advantor, Hirsch, AMAG, Lenel, and Software House.

• Desired experience with MS Project.
