This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Assist in activities related to vulnerability management, including the review of scan results and validation of findings.
• Provide support in triaging security findings from both internal tools and external sources.
• Aid in the analysis of logs and alerts from SIEM systems to detect potential security issues.
• Take part in basic investigations of security incidents and help with the documentation process.
• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of security controls across AWS and Kubernetes environments.
• Contribute to efforts aimed at improving detection capabilities and monitoring coverage.
• Learn about and contribute to the security of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and address security concerns.
• Acquire practical experience in securing cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows.
• Work alongside senior engineers to investigate issues, enhance security visibility, and establish foundational security capabilities.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, networking, and security principles.
• Familiarity with Linux and command-line utilities.
• Interest in cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS, and infrastructure systems.
• Fundamental understanding of common security concepts, such as vulnerabilities, authentication, and the OWASP Top 10.
• Exposure to programming or scripting languages, including Python, Go, or Bash.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Proven experience using Claude or similar large language model tools is essential; candidates should be comfortable utilizing AI to boost productivity, research, and communication.
• Familiarity with containers (Docker) and basic Kubernetes principles.
• Exposure to logging, monitoring, or SIEM tools.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Interest in areas such as cloud security, infrastructure security, or detection engineering.
