Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Integrate dynamic analysis tools like OWASP ZAP and Burp Suite into Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Java, and Bash.

• Utilize AI to establish testing capabilities, enhance bug bounty triage, and troubleshoot code issues.

• Deploy, host, and manage containerized security testing environments utilizing Docker and AWS.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and address OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.

• Evaluate bug bounty submissions and assist with critical incident response.

• Conduct ethical hacking and penetration testing on web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least one year of relevant work experience.

• Over 2 years of practical experience in Application Security, Penetration Testing, or a DevSecOps engineering position.

• In-depth knowledge of web application architecture, REST/GraphQL APIs, and mobile application security.

• Thorough understanding of OWASP Top 10, CWEs, CVSS scoring, as well as manual vulnerability validation and exploitation.

• Proficient in using Burp Suite Professional and OWASP ZAP.

• Experience with integrating security tools into Jenkins and GitLab CI pipelines.

• Capability to read, write, and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash.

• Familiarity with Docker containers and deploying/managing applications in AWS; experience with EC2/Linux is an advantage.

• Ability to communicate complex security vulnerabilities and their remediation significance to software engineers.

• Experience with AI tools, ideally Gemini or Claude Code, for scripting, debugging, or enhancing productivity.
