Security Consulting Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Operate within the Adopt & Expand phases of the LAER model, guaranteeing effective solution adoption while identifying avenues for growth.

• Lead the strategic planning, design, and execution of comprehensive security architectures.

• Propel architectural convergence across security and wider Cisco technology domains.

• Collaborate with senior IT leaders and CXOs to evaluate security lifecycles, threat landscapes, and regulatory factors.

• Shape technology roadmaps and yield measurable business results.

• Integrate both Cisco and non-Cisco security technologies within diverse enterprise environments.

• Ensure seamless interoperability, resilience, and alignment with policies.

• Advocate for AI and automation in security operations to streamline workflows and improve threat detection and response.

• Create reusable frameworks and intellectual assets.

• Mentor project delivery teams.

• Partner with Sales and Product Engineering to enhance product offerings.

• Develop reusable resources and best practices that can be scaled across various engagements.

• Cultivate vertical market expertise to align customer business requirements with Cisco’s technical solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 6 years, PhD with 3 years, or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity/network security architecture and solution delivery.

• Expert-level certification (e.g., CCIE Security) or comparable industry credential.

• Proven history of designing, deploying, migrating, and troubleshooting intricate enterprise security solutions.

• Demonstrated capability to serve as a consultative technical advisor to executive stakeholders (IT Directors, CXOs) and cross-functional teams.

• In-depth knowledge of industry security frameworks (e.g., CSF, NIST, ISO), threat modeling, and regulatory compliance standards.

• Hands-on experience with security automation, AI SecOps tools, and modern threat detection/response platforms.

• Current industry trend certifications (e.g., Cloud Security, DevSecOps, or advanced cybersecurity credentials).

• Proven track record in developing reusable frameworks, compliance templates, or whitepapers/intellectual capital.

• Broad architectural comprehension across hybrid cloud, enterprise networking, and integrations within the Cisco security portfolio.

• Previous experience presenting at significant technical forums/conferences (e.g., Cisco Live, IETF) and mentoring technical talent.
