Security Consultant – Microsoft Azure, M365

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to identify security challenges, business goals, and compliance needs.

• Set up and provide support for Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, and privileged access solutions.

• Create and execute strategies for Conditional Access and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).

• Implement and enhance Microsoft Defender solutions across identity, endpoint, email, and Microsoft 365 environments.

• Enhance the organizational security posture by utilizing Microsoft security best practices.

• Assist with endpoint protection, compliance, and device management efforts via Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.

• Configure and support Microsoft Purview solutions for information protection, governance, and compliance.

• Utilize Azure Log Analytics and security insights to monitor, investigate, and optimize customer environments.

• Create and sustain PowerShell automation.

• Work alongside architects, consultants, and customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Azure security engineering, including the configuration of security controls, environment monitoring, and incident response.

• Proven experience in implementing and managing Microsoft security controls, monitoring solutions, and security best practices.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, Conditional Access, MFA, and self-service password reset (SSPR).

• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and information governance initiatives.

• Understanding of Microsoft Defender for Microsoft 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud, and CSPM.

• Strong communication and consulting abilities with the capacity to engage directly with clients.

• Capability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Experience in customer-facing consulting roles.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

• US citizenship or authorization to work in the US is required.

• No sponsorship is available.

• Preferred: experience with Microsoft-focused consulting or systems integration organizations; familiarity with Exchange Online; Active Directory; hybrid identity environments; Microsoft Sentinel; PowerShell; Azure Automation; Kusto Query Language (KQL); DLP; MIP; network security; and Microsoft security certifications such as SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, or AZ-500.
