Security Consultant II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deliver managed services along with proactive and reactive support to clients worldwide.

• Integrate and uphold Akamai security solutions for various customers.

• Act as the main point of contact for security services throughout the customer lifecycle.

• Offer security consultancy and implement strategies to help clients achieve their desired results.

• Comprehend customer needs and assist in formulating long-term strategies based on industry best practices.

• Collaborate across functions to evaluate integrations, ensuring efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Address technical challenges and illustrate Akamai's value to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Engage in training and internal initiatives to establish best practices and enhance service quality.

• Oversee integration scope, timelines, and budgets to mitigate risks.

• Work in tandem with Support, Engineering, Products, Presales, and Sales to resolve both technical and business challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years' experience in security technologies.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.

• Proven experience in network or application security engineering.

• Familiarity with Internet routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and MPLS.

• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers.

• Understanding of the OWASP Top 10 and internet service vulnerabilities or attacks.

• Knowledge of IP networks, DNS and routing, HTTP, TCP, and web architecture.

• Experience managing and delivering large technical customer projects.

• Capability to engage, influence, and foster trusted relationships with customers.

• Proficient in communicating clearly and effectively with both technical and business audiences.

• Strong judgment, sound decision-making, and contingency planning skills.
