Security Consultant II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary liaison for security services.

• Ensure smooth integration and support for clients.

• Provide expert advice on security services.

• Implement creative solutions that enable clients to effectively utilize Akamai's security products.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to comprehend customer use cases and tailor solutions to meet client requirements.

• Work alongside internal sales teams to grasp customer business needs and guarantee customer success.

• Engage in internal projects that promote best practices.

• Enhance methodology, efficiency, and quality of solution delivery.

• Participate in training and initiatives that elevate methodology and service quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of pertinent experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.

• Capability to secure and uphold a Canadian government clearance.

• Familiarity with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL.

• Understanding of how Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) function.

• Relevant experience in customer-facing roles within a consultative setting.

• Achieved or interested in obtaining cybersecurity certifications like Security+, SSCP, GSEC, or others.

• Knowledge of project management concepts and methodologies.

• Understanding of implementation concepts related to web development, IT systems, or security practices.
