This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Oversee security dashboards, manage queues, and respond to alerts generated by automated tools and escalated tickets
• Perform initial investigations into security alerts
• Safeguard user accounts and gather log data for further analysis
• Evaluate the scope and severity of incidents
• Address straightforward security concerns and escalate more complex issues to Level 2 Analysts
• Assess and implement authorized routine modifications to security tools
• Handle client exemption requests within EDR platforms and make temporary adjustments for testing purposes
• Collaborate with security analysts and engineers
• Engage with end-users and clients regarding potential security threats and incident resolutions
• Coordinate security responses with Reactive Support, Client Strategy, NOC, and other relevant departments
• Record investigations, actions taken, communications, and resolutions in ConnectWise
• Provide prompt assistance for security queries
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule
• Work Monday–Thursday from 12:00 AM to 11:00 AM CST following the mandatory day-shift training
• 1–2 years of experience in Cybersecurity
• 3–5 years of experience in an IT role, including log analysis, account/access management, or endpoint troubleshooting
• CySA+, GCIH, or SC-200 certification (or actively pursuing one)
• Practical experience with at least one EDR/SIEM platform, such as SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, or Microsoft Sentinel
• Direct experience using ConnectWise Manage for ticket documentation, including clear, timestamped, audit-ready incident notes
• Familiarity with at least one of the following: SIEM log correlation, Windows Event Viewer security log IDs such as 4624/4625/4648, or a ticketing-based alert queue
• Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to draft business correspondence and procedural documents
• Skill in effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from managers, clients, and the general public
• Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to accuracy and thoroughness
• Strong customer service focus
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technology trends
• Capacity to maintain full alertness and reliable attendance during scheduled hours
