This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Propel Cisco Security expansion within a designated area comprising defense agencies focused on the USMC, USCG, DHA, and PACRIM.
• Formulate and implement account strategies across the assigned agencies.
• Establish trusted connections with executive and operational leaders, including CIOs and CISOs.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance cybersecurity programs and bolster operational resilience.
• Position Cisco’s Security offerings around threat protection, Zero Trust, secure access, cloud security, and incident response.
• Collaborate with Cisco Account Managers, Security Specialists, Solutions Engineers, and partners to ensure customer success.
• Navigate the intricacies of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and funding programs.
• Consistently meet and surpass set sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in selling technology solutions to Public Sector organizations.
• Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and procurement processes.
• Experience in crafting strategic territory and account plans.
• Preferred: Experience in selling cybersecurity solutions, including network security, cloud security, SASE, Zero Trust, XDR, or identity security technologies.
• Preferred: Knowledge of State & Local Government procurement processes, purchasing vehicles, and public sector funding mechanisms.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting law enforcement agencies, public safety organizations, emergency services, or justice-related institutions.
• Preferred: Strong executive presence and skills in relationship-building.
• Preferred: Experience using consultative sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC.
