This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Optimize business prospects for approved products related to Parkinson’s disease.
• Foster and sustain strategic partnerships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, advanced practice providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, department managers, and support staff.
• Educate clients on the advantages and risks of products while raising awareness of therapeutic gaps in line with approved labels.
• Generate new business, enhance existing accounts, optimize resource utilization, and boost sales to meet the designated sales plan for the product portfolio.
• Establish and uphold compliant relationships with Parkinson’s advocacy organizations, support groups, and patient-support networks.
• Provide on-label technical and scientific presentations and conduct sales calls using authorized data and resources.
• Comprehend and address customer requirements while cultivating account relationships that benefit both patients and healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with AbbVie field and internal teams to identify, develop, or modify strategies and tactics.
• Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts within the designated region.
• Attend to customer and patient needs through an understanding of AbbVie’s environment-of-care approach.
• Formulate, execute, and communicate strategic and tactical plans for targeted accounts.
• Track and report sales performance while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including some evenings or weekends.
• Represent AbbVie and the assigned products at events to foster relationships and educate about the offerings.
• Relay key information, developments, and insights to internal stakeholders.
• Develop and implement business strategies and territory account plans, align resources, and modify tactics as necessary.
• Stay updated on clinical, market, payer, and developments related to Parkinson’s disease, including trends and issues.
• Complete mandatory training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Fulfill HCIR credentialing requirements for access to assigned facilities and organizations.
• Position AbbVie as a preferred partner in Parkinson’s disease and neuroscience among healthcare professionals and patient organizations.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• 3+ years of experience in health science fields or sales, including at least 2 years in pharmaceutical sales.
• Alternatively, 8+ years of health science sales experience, including a minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales, in lieu of a degree.
• Proven ability to effectively network and partner across different functional areas.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses may be necessary.
• Completion of mandatory company training and compliance with company policies and OEC/Legal procedures is required.
• Must have the ability to drive a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or operate powered material handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time is necessary.
