Seasonal Honors Reviewer Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of both domestic and international applications for admission into The Ohio State University's Honors Program.

• Oversee a team of 10 seasonal honors application reviewers.

• Organize training sessions and meetings.

• Assist with the allocation of applications to reviewers.

• Offer constructive feedback and coaching to reviewers while addressing any concerns they may have.

• Gain insight into the enrollment objectives, policies, and procedures of the Honors Program.

• Review and evaluate application credentials thoroughly.

• Input recommendations for completed reviews into the online review platform on a weekly basis.

• Examine files assigned each week via a secure online review system and submit recommendations electronically.

• Support mandatory monthly training sessions and other meetings during standard university business hours.

• Collaborate with the assistant director of application review on planning, coaching, assignments, and reviews.

• Remain updated on procedural and guideline changes that impact the review process.

• Ensure confidentiality and security of admission files and university materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree, ideally in counseling, human relations, or education.

• A solid understanding of high school guidance or teaching practices.

• Familiarity and knowledge of college/university policies and procedures, as well as recruitment or admissions practices in higher education institutions.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.

• Must be a resident of Ohio and reside in the state while fulfilling the role.

• A flexible work schedule averaging 14–18 hours per week, with some weeks in January and February potentially requiring up to 20 hours.

• A commitment to completing all required weekly files and attending all mandatory virtual trainings and meetings.

• Prior experience in application reviewing, supervisory roles, and 1–2 years of relevant experience are preferred.
