Seasonal Admissions Reader, Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Support all facets of the undergraduate application review process for the 2026–2027 admission cycle.

• Evaluate undergraduate applications comprehensively, taking into account personal, academic, and extracurricular qualifications within context.

• Review applications through an online platform.

• Participate in remote training sessions via Zoom on the Slate system.

• Assess applications efficiently, carefully, and impartially.

• Maintain regular communication with the admissions office.

• Engage in consistent check-ins with the supervisor during normal business hours.

• Primarily work during the peak months of November, December, and January.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Prior experience in evaluating college applications is preferred.

• Must uphold a high standard of confidentiality.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Strong attention to detail is required.

• Possess analytical abilities.

• Exceptional judgment is necessary.

• Effective time management skills are important.

• Must have a computer with a reliable, high-speed internet connection.

• Access to a private and secure workspace is required.

• Should not currently have close working relationships with high school students or hold a position as a college admission professional, including high school counselors or independent consultants.

• Must not be employed or serving as an admissions volunteer at another undergraduate institution.

• Should not be the parent or guardian of a high school junior or senior.

• Must reside in Massachusetts, California, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

• Availability for a commitment of 10–20 hours per week from mid-October until mid-March is required.

• Must be open to receiving guidance and feedback from admissions staff.
