SDET – QA Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and consistently deliver testing tools and infrastructure for both front-end and back-end components.

• Execute tests at scale while enhancing the testing feedback loop.

• Convert manual test coverage into sustainable, high-value automated test suites.

• Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, Docker, and similar technologies.

• Develop testing software and reporting solutions that facilitate the continuous delivery of features and products.

• Validate integrations across databases, CRM/ERP systems, third-party platforms, and REST/SOAP/FTP/HTTP/XML endpoints.

• Work alongside agile teams to influence design, enhance testability, and deliver software throughout its lifecycle.

• Explore new trends and technologies in automated testing.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leadership to communicate risks and advocate for quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test, with practical expertise in designing, building, and evolving scalable automation frameworks from scratch.

• Demonstrated success in converting manual test coverage into sustainable, high-value automated test suites.

• Strong familiarity with Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine/Mocha, Selenium, or PyTest (or similar technologies).

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or related programming languages.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum settings as an embedded Quality Engineer.

• Knowledge of iPaaS, SaaS, or other cloud-based platforms.

• Hands-on experience with testing REST/SOAP APIs, working with JSON/XML payloads, and validating integrations with databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms.

• Familiarity with Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox/Hyper-V, npm/yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and associated DevOps toolchains.

• Experience utilizing AI tools for test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity enhancements.

• Ability to read vendor API documentation and navigate complex integration landscapes.

• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to adjust work hours when necessary for cross-time-zone collaboration and critical releases.
