SDET – QA Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and consistently deliver testing tools and infrastructure for both front-end and back-end components.

• Execute tests at scale across the entire platform.

• Create, develop, and enhance scalable automation frameworks.

• Convert manual test coverage into sustainable automated test suites.

• Collaborate with an agile team as well as the DevOps team.

• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium Grid, Docker, and similar technologies.

• Develop test software and reporting solutions to facilitate continuous delivery of features and products.

• Validate APIs, integrations, databases, CRM/ERP systems, third-party platforms, and various end-user endpoints.

• Influence design decisions, enhance testability, and support quality throughout the software lifecycle.

• Explore current trends and technologies in automated testing and contribute innovative ideas.

• Assist in enhancing the performance of the engineering team and improving customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years as a Software Engineer in Test, with practical experience in designing, building, and evolving scalable automation frameworks from inception.

• A proven history of transforming manual test coverage into maintainable, high-value automated test suites.

• Strong experience with technologies such as Node.js, Angular, WebdriverIO, Jasmine/Mocha, Selenium, or PyTest.

• Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as an integrated Quality Engineer.

• Familiarity with iPaaS, SaaS, or other cloud-based platforms.

• Understanding of distributed systems, integrations, and the complexities of validation.

• Hands-on experience in testing REST/SOAP APIs.

• Experience working with JSON/XML payloads.

• Experience validating integrations with relational databases, CRM/ERP systems, and third-party platforms.

• Knowledge of tools such as Postman, Jenkins, Docker, VirtualBox/Hyper-V, npm/yarn, JMeter, JIRA, GitHub, and other related DevOps toolchains.

• Experience utilizing AI tools for test generation, code quality, analysis, or productivity enhancement.

• Ability to interpret vendor API documentation and independently navigate complex integration landscapes.

• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to adjust working hours as needed for cross-time-zone collaboration and critical releases.
