SDET Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Comprehend requirement documents, recognize potential edge cases, and ensure thorough test coverage.

• Convert requirements into comprehensive manual and automated test cases that address both functional and non-functional needs.

• Perform functional, non-functional, security, and performance testing.

• Improve testing strategies, tools, and practices to enhance automation, efficiency, and coverage.

• Carry out manual tests for both new and existing features.

• Create and document test cases for various functional and non-functional scenarios.

• Detect, log, and monitor defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

• Execute regression testing to confirm bug fixes and product stability.

• Develop, maintain, and run automated test scripts utilizing Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Work alongside product, development, and QA teams to establish test strategies and requirements.

• Engage in sprint planning to ensure adequate test coverage and timely delivery.

• Conduct performance testing for high loads and real-time interactions.

• Test web and mobile products across various platforms and devices for compatibility.

• Oversee user experience during live events to guarantee smooth operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of practical experience in software testing, integrating both manual and automation testing.

• Demonstrated test automation proficiency with tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

• Manual testing experience for web and mobile applications.

• Understanding of API testing and database validation practices.

• Proficient in at least one programming language: Python, Java, or JavaScript.

• Solid grasp of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

• Experience using JIRA.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.

• Good comprehension of REST APIs and related testing practices.

• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
