SDE II, QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Leverage ISTQB Foundation certification along with a solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing principles.

• Automate functionalities for web and mobile applications utilizing Selenium WebDriver and Appium technologies.

• Design, execute, and document both manual and automated test cases.

• Formulate and implement detailed test plans along with optimized testing execution strategies.

• Record tests and manage bug logging/tracking using tools such as TestLink, TestRail, Jira, or Bugzilla.

• Conduct testing across various platforms and technologies, including performance testing utilizing JMeter and API testing with Postman.

• Examine intricate technical issues and collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

• Operate within Agile software development teams and employ JIRA for issue tracking and collaborative efforts.

• Keep abreast of the latest features, technologies, and trends within the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an ISTQB Foundation certification.

• Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, regression testing, performance testing, bug life cycle, boundary value analysis, positive vs. negative testing, and AB testing.

• Strong foundational knowledge of web and mobile automation, covering WebDriver, browser drivers, supported languages, locators, implicit and explicit waits, Page Object Model, headless browsers, Selenium Grid, Appium Server, JSON wire protocol, Desired Capabilities, and Appium Inspector.

• Expertise in Selenium WebDriver.

• Proven experience in creating, executing, and documenting both manual and automated test cases.

• History of developing thorough test plans and execution strategies.

• Practical experience with test documentation and bug logging/tracking through TestLink, TestRail, Jira, or Bugzilla.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Python, or Cucumber.

• Experience with version control/CI systems like GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, or CircleCI.

• Basic knowledge of performance testing using JMeter.

• Fundamental understanding of API testing with Postman.

• Experience in analyzing complex technical issues and working collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

• Proficient in utilizing JIRA for issue tracking and team collaboration.

• Availability to work from 2 pm to 11 pm IST.
