Scientific Python Research Specialist – Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design intricate and realistic agentic scientific workflows within the life sciences domain.

• Develop multi-step computational tasks that necessitate scientific reasoning and execution.

• Create realistic datasets, input files, instructions, constraints, and anticipated deliverables.

• Design workflows that require agents to analyze data, choose methods, perform analyses, troubleshoot problems, and synthesize findings.

• Generate reproducible expert solutions and objectively verifiable ground truths.

• Establish robust automated or semi-automated grading criteria.

• Ensure tasks assess scientific reasoning and execution rather than rote memorization.

• Validate scientific assumptions, calculations, code, intermediate outputs, and final outcomes.

• Ensure tasks are self-contained and executable in regulated computational environments.

• Maintain high quality and throughput of tasks while integrating reviewer feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive scientific programming experience, particularly with Python.

• Experience in conducting multi-step computational scientific analyses.

• Capacity to independently validate scientific reasoning, calculations, code, and computational outputs.

• Background in working with scientific data and computational research workflows.

• Ability to create reproducible solutions and evaluate the accuracy of scientific results.
