This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess both current and emerging ingredients to formulate evidence-based claims across the product line.
• Introduce new claims for existing and forthcoming products.
• Examine marketing materials to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams on ingredient advantages, new formulations, and initial product ideation.
• Assist in pioneering product innovations.
• Support clinical study initiatives by contributing to the design and execution of trials with both internal and external partners.
• Create substantiation dossiers, scientific guidelines, and projects utilizing AI technology.
• Enhance internal team skills and incorporate scientific resources into onboarding and internal communications.
• Identify research opportunities and independently drive projects forward.
• Establish scalable systems for research documentation, claims tracking, and collaboration across functions.
• Focus on high-impact research initiatives while managing multiple projects within tight deadlines.
• Convert intricate scientific concepts into implementable business strategies.
• 3-5 years of experience in science, regulatory affairs, or product development.
• Minimum of 1+ year in a related role within the dietary supplement or food industry.
• A Master’s degree or higher in a health-related scientific discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of scientific research methodologies.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in synthesizing complex scientific data into clear, actionable insights.
• Enthusiastic about discovering new ingredient science and aiding product formulation.
• Knowledge of FDA and FTC regulations concerning dietary supplements, particularly structure/function claims and substantiation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to adjust communication styles for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Inquisitive, solution-oriented, collaborative, and organized approach to work.
• Skillful in developing scalable processes and managing multiple projects.
• PhD preferred.
• Experience in clinical study design, management, and analysis preferred.
• Familiarity with dietary supplement labeling, GRAS assessments, and new dietary ingredient (NDI) submissions is an advantage.
