School Nutrition Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee an existing customer base while also cultivating and expanding new customer relationships within the designated territory.

• Promote the Gold Star Foods mission centered around outstanding service and innovative solutions.

• Engage directly with customers via in-person meetings, virtual sessions, email correspondence, and phone calls.

• Collaborate with K-12 customer service, logistics, procurement, and vendors to fulfill customer service expectations.

• Manage bids in conjunction with the Gold Star Foods bid team.

• Strategize and implement sales goals and objectives to enhance profitability and strengthen relationships within the distribution channels.

• Develop and update account profiles for key customers in the assigned territory.

• Execute bi-annual sales plans for each key customer, incorporating distribution penetration and conversion strategies.

• Foster engagement among sales management, customer service, logistics, bid management, and customers on significant opportunities.

• Conduct business review assessments utilizing analytics, reports, and infographics; relay results to customers.

• Formulate strategies to enhance customer service and boost case movement.

• Share insights regarding market challenges, opportunities, customer needs, distribution issues, and business intelligence with internal teams.

• Update and verify vendor challenges utilizing approved RFPs and bid documentation.

• Communicate updates regarding programs and contract modifications to Procurement and Bids leadership.

• Coordinate requests for new products and relay product/pricing inquiries.

• Ensure the Customer Experience team is informed and that order guides are current.

• Represent Gold Star Foods at customer conferences, seminars, and meetings.

• Organize weekly/monthly schedules using Microsoft Outlook and implement market strategies.

• Attend mandatory meetings and provide timely updates.

• Manage personal expense accounts in alignment with budgetary guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the use of computers, including Word and Excel (spreadsheets), Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint presentations.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Excellent analytical capabilities.

• A minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in the Foodservice Industry, preferably within the K-12 School segment.

• Marketing experience is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
