SBA Loan Closer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assess customer requirements and ensure that all SBA lending activities comply with SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Work collaboratively with internal partners to pinpoint lending opportunities that qualify for SBA.

• Provide support during prospect discussions, assist in structuring loans, and prepare eligibility summaries for SBA underwriting approval.

• Educate front-line staff and internal partners on SBA programs, guidelines, and eligibility criteria.

• Conduct training sessions to inform teams about updates to SBA policies or enhancements to programs.

• Liaise with attorneys, internal operations, and closing partners to guarantee efficient and timely loan closings.

• Ensure precise reporting of the loan pipeline.

• Gather and prepare all necessary documentation for SBA submission and loan approval.

• Inform customers and internal partners about SBA loan products.

• Structure loans in compliance with SBA guidelines.

• Promote and sell loan products to both existing customers and prospects.

• Manage risk in accordance with the policies and procedures of Provide and Fifth Third Bank.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in SBA lending.

• Practical experience in SBA loan origination and servicing.

• Familiarity with SBA loan packaging and submission platforms, such as SBA One.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SBA loan programs and SOPs.

• Capability to structure and present compelling, compliant SBA loan deals.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Experience collaborating directly with bankers, business development officers, or sales teams.

• Proficient in navigating the SBA eligibility and underwriting process.

• Strong analytical and credit assessment skills.

• Ability to work effectively across various functions with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Comfortable in customer-facing situations.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Self-driven work ethic and strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Bonus: Experience in facilitating SBA loan transactions for customers referred by branches, business bankers, relationship managers, or other banking channels.
