SAR Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, investigate, and resolve transaction monitoring alerts related to customers and their activities.

• Perform in-depth analysis on intricate AML/CFT cases, which includes examining transaction patterns, customer profiles, sources of funds, and associated risk indicators.

• Detect potentially suspicious activities and draft case narratives with clear justifications for escalation or closure.

• Assist in the SAR/STR filing processes, encompassing the preparation of case summaries, supporting documents, and activities related to submissions.

• Engage in FIU-related tasks, which include STR filings, RFI support, monthly reporting, and the upkeep of relevant registers and records.

• Utilize the FINnet portal for FIU submissions, reporting, and associated regulatory communications as required.

• Ensure that investigations are finalized within set timelines and in accordance with internal quality standards.

• Keep accurate records of investigative steps, findings, decisions, and justifications for escalation.

• Contribute to ongoing enhancements in transaction monitoring, STR reporting, FIU submissions, and regulatory compliance processes.

• Collaborate with Compliance, Investigations, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to fulfill AML/CFT obligations and adhere to regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in investigations, including SAR filings, or relevant audit/regulatory experience in a financial institution or fintech company.

• Previous experience in AML transaction monitoring, SAR/STR investigations, financial crime compliance, or FIU reporting.

• Preferred hands-on experience with the FINnet portal.

• A strong understanding of crypto/VDA transactions, blockchain analytics, or the crypto regulatory landscape is highly desirable.

• Proficient analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple cases within specified timelines.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive approach to meeting high standards.
