SAP TM Yard Management Functional Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, configuration, and support of Yard Management processes within SAP Transportation Management.

• Configure yard operations, which includes yard planning, equipment management, and yard execution.

• Oversee the processes for yard settlement and charge calculations.

• Provide support for yard cost visibility and analytics for program and customer stakeholders.

• Manage enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives pertaining to Yard Management functionality.

• Ensure effective integration between Yard Management and SAP TM, FI, MM, and SD.

• Configure yard settlement documents and processes for invoice verification.

• Facilitate the automatic posting of yard costs within SAP and its relevant interfaces.

• Ensure accurate recognition of revenue and costs for yard-related transactions.

• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams for yard invoice reconciliation.

• Work closely with teams involved in S/4HANA, TM, FI, MM, SD, and EWM, along with interfaces to the financial system of record.

• Develop functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, and training materials.

• Engage in unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; provide support for defect analysis and resolution.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of functional experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM), including configuration related to Yard Management.

• Experience in implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.

• Strong knowledge of Yard Planning and Equipment Management.

• Strong knowledge of Yard Execution.

• Strong knowledge of Freight Settlement and Charge Calculation.

• Strong knowledge of Invoice Verification.

• Experience in writing functional specifications for custom developments.

• Experience in supporting testing and defect resolution.

• Strong analytical, communication, and customer engagement skills.

• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

• Willingness to travel to Scott Air Force Base, IL (approximately 10% travel, every 12 weeks).

• Experience in supporting Department of Defense or Federal ERP programs.

• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development practices.

• Experience in integrating Yard Management/TM functionality with Materials Management (MM), Financial Accounting (FI), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.

• Experience with Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.

• Previous experience supporting USTRANSCOM or other large-scale government SAP programs.

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Transportation Management is desired.

• Agile Scrum Certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent) is desired.

• Security+ certification is preferred for DoD environments.
