SAP TM S/4HANA Rollout Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the SAP TM solution for designated rollout phases.

• Conduct fit-to-standard sessions in collaboration with the business.

• Evaluate local transportation practices, carriers, legal requirements, and documentation needs against the global framework.

• Create solutions that maintain the global standard.

• Oversee the design throughout the build, testing, cutover, and initial post-go-live support phases.

• Develop TM processes on S/4HANA, encompassing freight planning, carrier selection and tendering, freight order execution, charge calculation, and freight settlement.

• Ensure the integration of TM within the S/4HANA logistics chain, including outbound sales orders and deliveries, inbound purchasing processes, warehouse execution, and freight costs through finance.

• Manage carrier connectivity, EDI or business network onboarding, tracking, and carrier status notifications.

• Create functional specifications for the build team and work closely with integration, development, and testing leads.

• Organize testing and address defects through integration and user acceptance testing.

• Lead the cutover, hypercare, and transition to support for each rollout phase.

• Provide feedback on rollout insights to enhance the global template.

• Supply information regarding the latest TM rollout, including the countries or sites involved, deployment type, and custom-designed elements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP logistics, with SAP TM on S/4HANA as a central focus.

• Experience with at least one TM rollout or global template program in a manufacturing environment.

• Personal involvement in fit-gap analysis and solution design, beyond mere configuration.

• Familiarity with TM integrations involving SD, MM, EWM, and FI/CO.

• Proven experience conducting workshops with business users and translating requirements into designs and specifications.

• Ability to work remotely across different countries in a multi-company program team.

• Advantageous but not mandatory: Experience with SAP Business Network for Logistics or a carrier visibility platform.

• Advantageous but not mandatory: Experience with embedded and side-by-side TM deployments.

• Advantageous but not mandatory: Background in automotive, industrial, or process manufacturing.

• Advantageous but not mandatory: Experience in multimodal, international, or hazardous goods transportation.

• Advantageous but not mandatory: SAP TM certification.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Consultants must reside in Romania.
